The Institute for Constitutional Studies (ICS) conducted an evaluation of the working of Provincial Councils from 1988 to 2010. The senior researchers were Prof. Ranjith Amarasinghe, Emeritus Professor of Political Science, University of Peradeniya, Mr. Asoka Gunawardena, retired senior public officer and former Chairman of the Finance Commission, Dr. Jayampathy Wickramaratne, President’s Counsel and Prof. A.M. Navaratne Bandara of the Department of Political Science, University of Peradeniya.
The evaluation report was launched recently.
